Please email a cover letter and your resume to Stevan Flury, Practice Administrator at sflury@mdbrainandspine.org or fax your credentials to 410-224-0209. - Neurosurgeon: Covers ER. provides inpatient and office consultations, performs surgery, participates in clinical trials, takes practice call, and helps grow the practice. Must have completed neurosurgical residency, fellowship training preferred, board eligible/certified.
- Physician Assistant: Works in both office and hospital to cover practice patients, provide office/hospital consults, surgical assist practice physicians, round on patients, conduct post-op exams. Must be certified and graduated from accredited Physician Assistant program. Previous surgical experience preferred.
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner: Works in office to provide pre-op and post exams, conduct pre-surgical interview, triage medical/Rx calls, take lead on clinical trial studies, take practice call for group in hospital.
- Medical Assistant: Checks vital signs, ensures charts up to date, ensures patient flow is timely, schedules appointments, registers patients, helps out medical records and front desk.
- Front Desk: Check in/out patients, schedules appointments, registers patients, verifies eligibility/ benefits/authorization, collects money at desk.
- Medical Secretary: Schedules appointments, screens patients, registers patients, sends welcome to practice packet, arranges follow up care, assists physician/physician assistant team.
- Surgical Scheduler: Coordinates inpatient/outpatient surgery with our hospital partners, verifies eligibility, authorization, confirms surgery with patients.
- Medical Records: Creates and maintains accurate records, pulls charts for appointments, files outside correspondence.
- Internal Floater: Schedules appointments, registers patients, sends out new patient packets working from home and office. Also fills in for front desk, medical secretary, surgical scheduling, and medical records at all locations.
- Certified Professional Coder: Reviews office and surgical charges and codes using guidelines to help practice get reimbursement entitled to. Works with billing office to appeal underpaid and rejected claims.
